20 Days Head Cook, 10 days R&R, 20 Days Night Baker, 10 days off . . . 
The point of hire is Juneau, Alaska (transportation to and from Juneau is not provided)

Summary The Head Cook/Baker prepares and cooks family style meals for employees and visitors of camp by performing the following duties:

Responsibilities
  • Cooks food in quantities according to menu and number of persons to be served.
  • Bakes breads, pastry, and desserts.
  • Washes dishes.
  • Cuts meat.
  • Plans menu taking advantage of leftover foods and foods in season.
  • Serves meals.
  • Orders supplies and keeps records and accounts.
  • Directs and trains activities of workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.
  • Company on-site representative with customers and client.
  • Ensures all activities are carried out in compliance with company vision, values, guiding principles, and policies and procedures.
Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises up to three associates. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Education and/or Experience Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Formal craft training is preferred.
