Camp Maintenance Technician

Performs routine facility maintenance on a regular basis to ensure clean, smooth running of facility and facility equipment.
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Adheres to, and embraces safety best practice and corporate policies, procedures, programs.

  • Maintains great public relations with the client, the customer, and the community through appropriate and timely communication.

  • Resolves maintenance requests, within scope of work, quickly and efficiently.

  • Acts as point of contact to subcontractors for out of scope maintenance requirements, as requested.

  • Provides client and corporate reports as required.  Maintains Job Tracking Forms

  • Ensures accurate records on all facility and equipment responsible for maintaining to include booklets, warranty, parts and service requirements.

  • Pulled filled out Maintenance Request Forms and correct the deficiency described, complete the form with your information.

  • Respond and attend to immediate action required issues: clogged toilets, water leaks, heat out, kitchen equipment not functioning correctly, etc.

  • Help locate parts needed to complete maintenance request issues.

  • Complete a mail run twice per week to Delta Junction.

  • Possibly operate a fork lift.

  • Perform vehicle checks & light maintenance, lubricants, water, tires, change lights, fuses, etc.

  • Be available for emergency call-out if something arises after your normal work hours.

Supervisory Responsibilities
When the lead maintenance person is on R&R, directly supervises one non-supervisory associate.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.  Or 3 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
 
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.  Fluent English verbal and written.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
 
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Must have healthy mental capacity for long hours, days, weeks away from home.

Technical Skills
Must be able to successfully navigate and utilize computer and software tools utilized by the company. Microsoft Office Suite:  Outlook, Word, Excel; Web Browsers; Recognition Programs.  Must have aptitude and skills and problem solving skills required for duties.
