Administrative Assistant 
This is a newly created position. The candidate must be able to perform accurate accounting of people coming to and from the Kensington Mine.  Accuracy is a must as there is a dollar value associated with each person coming to site. Candidate must be able to adapt to the existing billeting system quickly and become familiar with all department heads and schedules.  This is a highly demanding position.

General duties include but not limited to:
  • Assign rooms using existing client software.
  • Manage existing room assignments.
  • Create incoming and outgoing boat manifests using existing schedules from department heads.
  • Establish working relationships with department heads to ensure that all people are documented going in and out.
  • Create housekeeping lists from departed people for room cleaning assignments.
  • Manage commissary desk sales, inventory and ordering per existing process.
  • Perform certain housekeeping/janitorial duties as assigned by project manager
  • In addition to the duties performed, the individual must be able to physical and mentally work away from home, family and friends for extended remote rotation. 12 hours daily, 7 days a week, 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off, with additional time for training in the beginning and periodically. The point of hire for this position is Juneau, AK, this means it is the employee's responsibility to report to the point of hire from their home
Education and/or Experience Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
  • Alaska Food Worker Card Required
  • Valid Drivers’ License and clean driving record may be required
  • First Aid Certification may be required
  • CPR Certification may be required
  • MSHA Certification will be required.
