We are looking for Breakfast Cooks/Bakers to join our amazing team. These positions make up to $2000 per week while enjoying one of the best benefits packages in the market. A Breakfast Cook/Baker prepares and serves freshly baked goods and breakfast to the residents of a remote site work camp. If you are passionate about food and looking to make great money while having the adventure of a lifetime, this may be the job for you!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.

  • Prepare, bake, and present delicious breads, pastries, and desserts in quantities according to menu and number of persons to be served.
  • Prepare, cook, and present excellent basic breakfasts PLUS breakfast specialties to provide variety.
  • Direct and train activities of workers assigned to shifts.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Ensure food safety, a safe workplace, and positive team atmosphere.
  • Ensure kitchen and dining facilities are cleaned and sanitized daily, including dishes/tables/etc.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with laws, regulations, company vision, values, guiding principles, and policies and procedures.

In addition to the duties performed, the individual must be able to physical and mentally work away from home, family, and friends for extended remote rotation - 12 hours daily, 7 days a week, 4 weeks on and 2 weeks off. All roles are located at remote camps, ESS offers all paid amenities that you would have at home at no cost to you.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Formal craft training is preferred.
  • Alaska Food Worker Card required.
  • ServSafe required.
  • Valid Drivers’ License and clean driving record may be required.
  • First Aid Certification may be required.
  • CPR Certification may be required.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Must have capacity for long hours, days, weeks away from home.
