Description

SUMMARY

Provides support to the Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality department for all ESS locations.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist Director of HSEQ in maintenance of HSEQ environment.
  • Performs HSEQ audits on all locations.
  • Meet all incidents, injuries etc. in conjunction with Safety Director on an ongoing basis (rotational call).
  • Assist tracking of all safety data in office including but not limited to Rig Safety Reports, Certificates of No Injury, JSA’s, and EYES.
  • Assist Director of HSEQ with developing with training centered on HSEQ and assist in training programs.
  • Liaison with customers as required and on a customer service basis.
  • Continually inspect premises, and food service areas, for cleanliness and appearance.
  • Assure contract compliance, and ensure staff awareness of ESS’ contractual obligations for the project.
  • Sets an example for Associates to follow by incorporating safe work practices in all aspects of their activities and following all ESS and client safety policies and procedures;
  • Conducts incident analysis to identify incident trends;
  • Assist Director of HSEQ in conducting accident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Supports operational "start-up" training/support needs for new units, ongoing training from Food Safety, H&S orientation of new hires in conjunction with HR
  • Assist ESS crews as needed to support the project, to include boosting morale of crew.
  • Maintain a clean, neat appearance.
  • Deal with problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Maintain good client communications at project level.
  • Ensure project and staff compliance with all ESS and Compass Group operating policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all company polices and procedures.
  • All other duties as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Four-year college or university degree or three or more years direct experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in the following fields: Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, Public Health, Food Science: Understanding of Food Safety/Quality Assurance legislation and practices
